Do
You Know The
Lord? - Are
You A Christian?
If
you are a
Christian and
somebody spoke
with you we
praise God for
the encounter.
Sometimes
Christians get
offended when
they feel their
faith is being
challenged so
let me address
that concern
first. I
want to assure
you that any
conversation we
have is out of
genuine love and
concern.
We do not intend
to make a
Christian doubt
his salvation.
However, we do
live by the
admonition of
Paul in 2
Corinthians 13:5
where he writes:
-
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye
not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
The
Bible challenges
each believer to
examine
himself in
order to make
certain he is in
the faith.
This thought
goes against
many
contemporary
teachings today
that state that
one should never
examine his
faith. As
good as that
teaching sounds
it is not
Biblical.
We must adhere
to the word of
God.
What
if you have
examined
yourself and you
have failed the
test? In
studying 2
Corinthians 13:5
it is clear that
this examination
is to be done in
order to make
any corrections
that are needed.
